If you're searching for a reliable daily ranch or trail horse, or a companion to help teach your child the ropes of being a cowboy, look no further than P.W.! He has been my dependable, personal go-to horse for the last 3 years, and I have enjoyed every minute spent with him. P.W. always has a gentle, easy-going, willing demeanor. P.W. has years of experience on the trails and ranch work, making him a great addition to any ranch. He is quiet, solid, and confident on the trails and has weekly experience working in the stockyard. On the ranch, P.W. is incredibly handy checking, gathering, sorting, pasture roping, and doctoring cattle, often with me working alone. He has a lot of run and exceptional rate when roping a cow. P.W. can side pass to open and close gates and will drag anything you dally to the saddle horn. Don't let his size fool you, he can and will hold even the biggest bulls. He always gives his best, showing a lot of heart. We've put a lot of time into his training, including two months of professional training with Ethan Dicks at Deseret Ranch, where he sorted and doctored thousands of cattle. He is versatile, dependable, respectful and soft, with lots of feel on the ground and in the saddle. He has a nice soft trot, and he will lope both leads on cue with simple, easy transitions. He neck reins, and side passes, responds to leg cues, and has a good stop, nice turnaround and rides bridleless. P.W. is great with traffic, machinery, fireworks and gunfire, bullwhips, wildlife, flags, and dogs. He has even been ridden in multiple parades! P.W. is simple and easy to ride. He has been ridden by a novice, 7-year-old little girl, and has given pony rides to younger children. P.W. knows how to put in a hard day's work but will happily enjoy a leisure ride down the trail. P.W. is a fun, level-headed horse who is easy to get along with, making him the perfect go-to horse for daily use.
